Ray Charles - Kushal Poddar
Come rain or Come shine
the scratched song of geese
busks the mud or the dirt slipstream
round and round in the turntable of field.
A lone sportswoman composes
another mile of evening
fiddled between the crooner pines.
Water leans against
the falling clouds or those shafts of rays.
‘Come rain’, she hums in summer.
‘Come shine’, she drones in rain. (C) Kushal Poddar, 2019
